When you’re working in Manual Entry, you can act on several rows at once instead of editing them one by one. This is the quickest way to clean up a long list of expenses, incomes, or cash incomes.

Selecting multiple rows

On any of the Manual Entry tabs (Expenses, Income & Adjustments, Cash Income), use the checkboxes at the start of each row to select the records you want to act on. The bulk action buttons appear once you have at least one row selected.

Bulk classify

Use this when several expenses share the same category, provider, or method:

  1. Select the rows you want to update
  2. Click the bulk classify button to open the classifier
  3. Set the category (and any other fields you want to apply)
  4. Confirm — every selected record is updated at once

The same flow works for incomes (Income & Adjustments) and cash incomes, each with their own classifier modal.

Bulk delete

  1. Select the rows you want to remove
  2. Click the delete action — Simple-C asks you to confirm, showing the number of records that will be removed
  3. Confirm to delete

When to use Manual Entry bulk vs Bulk Updates

  • Bulk operations in Manual Entry are for quick cleanup while you’re already entering or reviewing a month’s records.
  • For larger reclassifications across many months, banks, or businesses, use the dedicated Bulk Updates page — it has stronger filters and additional actions like Change Year, Reassign Bank and Reassign Business. See the Bulk Updates article for details.
